5 kW – 30 kW

Our PowerCool home energy storage batteries range from 5 ~ 30kW, as SolarEast batteries are used to provide storage to solar PV systems and are also increasingly common as a standalone system to capitalise on cheaper, greener electricity tariffs at night.

Storing sustainable energy with SolarEast – it’s an obvious choice.

Home energy storage solutions with provide you with a smart way to optimize your electricity usage. By capturing surplus power during off-peak hours or from sustainable sources like solar panels or wind, our solutions allow electricity to be stored for use during peak periods, or even when the power’s out completely.

A customized, MCS certified installation will address your specific requirements, delivering a smooth, efficient energy experience that ensures peace of mind and reliability. The huge advantage of lower energy bills and a reduced environmental impact make this a worthwhile long-term investment.

Retrofitting Home Energy Storage Solutions

Retrofitting a SolarEast home battery storage system can significantly enhance energy independence, optimise savings, and provide reliable backup power, giving you peace of mind. The following provides a guide to areas you should consider when integrating battery energy storage systems into existing solar energy.

Click on the steps below to find out more about the retrofitting process.

  • 1. Assess Your Energy Needs and Objectives

Assessing your objectives for installing battery energy storage at your home is essential. You have an opportunity to take control of your energy consumption and define your goals. Whether you want backup power during outages, reduced electricity bills, or increased solar energy self-consumption, the power is in your hands. Your starting point should be to define goals – determine whether your primary aim is backup power during outages, reducing electricity bills, or increasing solar energy self-consumption. It could be a combination of these things, and whatever the reason, BESS connected to your home solar system can provide many advantages. It is important to evaluate your energy usage – analyse your household’s energy consumption patterns to select an appropriately sized battery system. The data is available, and by understanding energy consumption patterns at your home, including peak energy use times and possibly EV charging facilities, you can match a system that provides effective storage and backup power and delivers on the best payback period for you.
  • 2. Select the Appropriate PowerCool Battery Storage Solution

SolarEast PowerCool systems are the perfect partner for retrofitting as this range series offers hybrid inverters that can be installed in every scenario in the home, with a variety of inverter sizes (3 kW or 5 kW) paired with 5 kWh battery modules, up to 6 stacked.
  • 3. Ensure Inverter Compatibility

The PowerCool Series delivers hybrid inverter integration, allowing connection as an AC or DC system. If you are upgrading an existing system, you can hybrid connect, allowing for AC and DC connectivity simultaneously, meaning this unit relay does it all, facilitating seamless integration.
  • 4. Professional Installation and System Integration

To ensure the safety and efficiency of your battery energy storage system, using experienced and certified installers is essential. SolarEast authorised installer partners provide you with access to professionals who ensure proper installation and compliance with local regulations. Our installers have direct access to our UK-based technical and customer support, who know our systems and UK BESS safety standards, providing a seamless installation process. Your MCS certified installer will guide you through each step and can integrate the battery system with your existing solar setup, configuring it to optimise energy storage and usage based on your specific needs.
  • 5. Utilise Monitoring and Control Features

With the SolarEast mobile app, you are in control; monitor system performance, control energy usage, giving you a sustainable way to manage your energy and create energy independence. Your authorised UK installer can connect your system to the SolarEast platform during installation, ensuring you have the data you need from day one to maximise your system.
  • 6. Safety and Maintenance

When it comes to safety and longevity, the PowerCool Series delivers on both counts. The SolarEast brand and systems are recognised globally as a market leader in creating safe and future-proof products. Integral to this is our approach to safety compliance, where our system design, product manufacturing, and warranty deliver impressive results, all with safety in mind. We use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries, known for their stability and long cycle life. Regular maintenance is essential with any system, and purchasing and installing a globally recognised brand and product like SolarEast means you have access to a wide range of authorised companies and trained people for scheduled routine inspections or repairs, ensuring continued optimal performance and longevity of the system.
